Periodic geodetic measurements of displacements and deformations are conducted when there is a risk that planned construction work may compromise the structures of neighboring buildings or involve newly constructed ones. Such measurements are usually outlined in the construction project or are performed at the request of the interested party. Changes occurring in the structure are calculated by comparing current measurement results with the so-called "zero measurement."

To conduct measurements correctly, precise geodetic equipment and a qualified measurement team are essential. Since measurements typically seek millimeter accuracy, there is no room for random errors or poorly designed measurement points and reference points. GEOBIZ has performed many such tasks, so we possess both the necessary equipment and personnel resources.

Displacement and settlement monitoring is carried out in situations such as: earthworks—deep excavations, the construction of large structures in close proximity to existing buildings, and the appearance of alarming damage to structural walls or other structural elements of buildings.

Tall structures, including all types of masts, towers, and chimneys, undergo periodic verticality checks commissioned by the investor. The purpose of the examination is to assess the technical condition of the structure, which involves measuring the deviation from the vertical line and, in the case of masts, evaluating the twisting of the structure.
